OPERATOR

I'm a computer engineering undergrad in my last semester who fell down the silicon rabbit hole and never climbed back out. My day-to-day is logic IP design with a security bent: obfuscation, logic locking, and encryption. On the RTL side, I translate architectural specs into synthesizable code and work through the usual tradeoffs to qualify a design for timing, power, and area, alongside quality checks, verification support, design reviews, and debug. That means coordinating closely with architecture, verification, and physical design, which is part of why I like it. I'm at my happiest, though, when a project spans the whole stack, from RTL up to a shipping app.

Outside of silicon, I'm deep into FOSS, hacker culture, and DIY philosophy. I believe collaboration and collectiveness are how we actually make progress. Doing a little research on open source alternatives for licenced elements.

The rest of me: two cats, a garden, and a running list of places to explore in Costa Rica and beyond. I like meeting people and exchanging cultures, lifting at the gym, riding BMX, watching birds, listening to techno, and getting way too excited about the fungi kingdom. I read a lot of history too, especially local history and the history of computing, the two threads that keep looping back into everything else I do.
